Words like numerator and denominator are reviewed. Children join Michiko at the Kite Factory where they use fractions to create and color their own kites.
Measurement Tools Weight Level 3 Vol. 1 – In this free measurement lesson, children learn how to use a balance scale to determine relative weight in pounds and ounces. Children take a trip to the county fair and help with the berry picking contest where they must use a virtual balance scale and pound and ounce weights to weigh the baskets of berries.
Locations on a Grid Level 3 Vol. 1 – This real-world lesson helps children understand and use the compass directions north, south, east, and west. Children must compose and follow multiple-step directions and explore locations on a grid map to help Carlos find his way home from the playground. In the end, children can use the tickets they earned from correct answers to play a fun arcade-style game.
