Smart Tutor is an
individualized program to meet each child’s academic needs. It does so by providing an automated assessment that immediately creates
an instructional program that's just right for your child! So let the program automatically create a lesson program for your child designed to fill
in their learning gaps, or you have the option to assign specific lessons for your child. Either way your child will be receiving fun, engaging
lessons and you will have access to detailed reports to track your child's progress. |

Perfect for homeschool, after-school help, targeted remediation or summer use |
We all want our children to perform their best on their school work, but sometimes our children get bored with regular text books. SmartTutor.com offers fun, online Reading and Math lessons that are engaging for today’s learners. All of our lessons have a full tutorial, practice activity and graded activity… and once your child has completed a full lesson, they automatically move on to another lesson with a different theme!

Engaging supplemental curriculum |
Children stay engaged in our online program because they never know what’s coming up next. It could be a game to reward their efforts, maybe learning how to rhyme with other kids in our classroom, or visiting a park with our character Yetibu. To learn more about how SmartTutor.com works go to our Curriculum page.

Free educational games, activities and printables |
SmartTutor.com wants to help parents in these tough economic times, so we’ve developed a FREEBIES page that includes free teaching games and printables -- and you don’t even have to be a member of SmartTutor.com to take advantage of this free page! Just click on the FREEBIES button on our homepage to access the free educational games in our Game Zone and free reading and math educational activities. And you’ll feel good knowing that while your children are having fun in our game zone, they are learning at the same time. Also on our FREEBIES page are awards, lunch notes, and party invitations. You can print an award for your child for doing a job well done, print out a cute note to put in their lunch box at school or print free party invitations for their birthday! And our FREEBIES list doesn’t just stop there… we are always working on new FREEBIES that will be released to you. For instance, we’re working on printable door hangers, bookmarks, placemats, coloring pages, word searches, word scrambles, crossword puzzles and more! SmartTutor.com is happy to offer these freebies to you and your family because we recognize that children come first, and we want to help your children do well in school… and make it fun for them while they’re at it! So visit our FREEBIES page at any time and tell your friends about it. Remember, you don’t even have to be a member of SmartTutor.com to take advantage of this free page.

Interactive lessons for today’s learners |
Whether they’re clicking on the door to get into the space ship, typing in their thoughts, or counting rabbit holes, your children are interacting with our characters all the time. We know that children learn better with real world examples and interactivity; so that’s just what we’ve provided for you and your children. For more information about our curriculum, check out our Sample Lessons.

Individualized instruction for your child |
Our Reading and Math curriculum is individualized just for your child. That’s because we know if your child is in third grade that doesn’t mean he’s at the same level as other third grade children. So how do we provide individualized instruction over the internet? When your child first logs in to SmartTutor.com they are prompted to take an evaluation. The evaluation is strictly question-based so we can determine where your child’s skills lay. After the evaluation, you can pull reports to see how your child is performing, and they are taken on a learning adventure to fill in their learning gaps, help them maintain their current grades, or help them get ahead.
|
| |
Multiple learning styles so every child can learn with their strengths |
As you may know, not all children learn the same way; but all children need to learn. So SmartTutor.com makes sure to cover multiple learning styles so every child can feel successful. For kinesthetic learners who need to move, touch and experience things, they interact with our program through the mouse, keyboard and virtual manipulatives. We also use high-end, colorful and engaging graphics through our flash technology to provide visual stimulation for those visual learners. And last but not least, we work with auditory learners as well. Auditory learners use speech and sounds that are incorporated into each aspect of our program.
|
| |
Success for your child! |
Students feel successful with SmartTutor.com because they can never ‘get stuck’ in the program and do not visibly fail. Our program will move your child along their individualized path automatically. You and/or your child don’t have to worry about missing or skipping an important lesson… SmartTutor.com won’t let you! Also if your child scores below a 70% they will be prompted to re-take the lesson. We understand that if a child doesn’t understand concept A, they might not understand concept B, so we let your child review the tutorial a second time and then take a new quiz (so they can’t memorize the answers). SmartTutor.com will bookmark your child’s place in the program every time he/she logs off; however, we do recommend waiting until your child sees a crossing guard that says STOP or GO before closing the program.
